Excellent rendition of the early development of television as it relates to the portrayal of African Americans throughout the decades. Done very well.

Excellent documentary about image, identity and myths. Thoughtful commentary from the persons who made history pushing the envelope to correct stereotypes, create real dialogue and positive social change thru television. Well written, easy to follow, great footage and photos.

Incredible documentary with great archival footage and interviews. I loved the way Marlon Riggs continually asks the audience to think about what a positive portrayal of african americans on tv truly looks like. I wish I had heard of his work sooner.

I am very stunned to know television in a new light, I never thought it was so much influence of television in American households. I do not watch television because I believe it is just trash anyways.
